"Back in the 16th century, Edo citizens admired western bags and made these azuma -literally "eastern"- bags using clothes available to them.
sAto is now excited to share the wisdom of our ancestors with our materials.
azuma mini bags are reversible, so you can pick the colour of the day to enjoy shopping or a day out with!
It is suitable for carrying multiple small objects including A5 books and groceries.

ついている紐はヨットの帆が受けている風の向きを教えてくれるテルテールと呼ばれるものです。
セイラーたちが船を進めるため、帆の角度やサイズを調整する目安として使われていた、大切な紐を活用しています。

The attached string is a “tell-tale,” originally telling sailors the direction of the wind that the boat is catching for sailors to adjust the direction or the size of the sailcloths.

Can be washed in a laundry machine
as long as the tag is firmly sealed.
If the seal starts pealing off,
cover it with a cloth to iron.
